The procedure called the Botox Lip Flip has caused near social media hysteria and has been featured on “The Doctors.” Articles about the procedure claim that you can stop spending money on fillers because for much less you can get two injections of Botox in the upper lip and flip the edge of the upper lip. Despite all this breathy excitement and pandemonium, there is just one problem: where are all the before and after pictures? A careful study of pictures documenting the so-called Botox Lip Flip turn up nada, nothing, zip, zilch. There are no before and after pictures documenting the so-called Botox Lip Flip. Let me qualify that, there are before and pictures that state they represent a “Botox Lip Flip,” but it is clear that the effects shown were accomplished with fillers. It is generally possible to perk up a lip edge with fillers.
