Chin Implant
A solid implant positioned over the prominence of the chin to increase the projection of the chin. Solid silicone implants are the most common material used, however, implants are also less commonly available in other materials including porous polyethylene and ePTFE. The implants are available in a variety of sizes and shapes depending on the facial contour deficits that need to be addressed. The implant is usually placed through an incision under the chin. With the availability of good long term fillers such as Perlane® much of the volume needs that might prompt one to consider a chin implant can be met with an office based filler service with almost no downtime and no surgery.
