Facial Volumizing
Cosmetic Concern: 36 year old woman with a recent history of cheek and chin implants. She feels her face is out of balance due to the facial implants but she does not feel prepared to undergo surgery to remove the implants.
Diagnosis
- Facial dysmorphia from the placement of oversized cheek and chin implants.
Treatment: Facial volumizing with Restylane® and Perlane®.
Discussion:The fillers have softened the face and improved the balance of the lower face. The cheek implants have been positioned too low in the face causing the cheeks to appear flat. Volume at the top of the cheek softens these effects and provides a better sense of harmony. In the chin, the chin implant provides too much volume focally at the lowest portion of the face. Volumzing in this area also helps the overall sense of facial balance.
