Cosmetic Concern: 31year old man who is unhappy with his forehead lines. He feels the lines detract from his looks. Notice the hyperdynamic activity of the frontalis muscle heaping the lines on the forehead.
Diagnosis
- Hyperdynamic forehead wrinkles.
- Eyebrow ptosis.
Treatment: He elected to be treated with a 48 unit Microdroplet™ BOTOX® treatment.
Discussion: Notice that after treatment, the eyebrows have a more natural shape and are maintained at an appropriate height, yet the forehead is now relaxed. The treatment was done at the level of the eyebrow, relaxing the muscles responsible for pulling the eyebrows down. This leaves the frontalis muscle with less work to do and consequently the forehead takes on a relaxed appearance.
