Liposuction Procedure

Procedure: Tumescent Liposuction

Cosmetic Concern: 44-year-old woman with stable weight desires improved body contour.

Diagnosis:
Localized adiposity of the flanks. Liposuction is about body contouring. With realistic expectations, most individuals with stable weight and localized deposits of body fat can benefit from tumescent liposuction.

Treatment:
Tumescent liposuction of the outer flanks and thighs. She was back to yoga two days after her procedure. The results are permanent even if there is weight gain. The reason is that increases in weight are more uniformly distributed over the body. The procedure is performed with microcannulas and is very gentle and safe. It is so comfortable that the procedure can be performed under local anesthesia.

Procedure: Liposuction Surgery

Cosmetic Concern: 43-year-old woman with a stable weight, who desires sculpting of her inner and outer thighs and tops of the hips.

Diagnosis:
Localized adiposity of the waist, inner and outer thighs.

Treatment:
Tumescent liposuction of the inner and outer thighs as well as the flanks.

Discussion: This is a common combination of areas for women due to how body fat is stored on the female body. These also tend to be the areas where clothes fit the tightest. The goal is not to remove all the fat. The goal is to achieve an improved shape. Fat is golden. It is just that we want it to be ideally distributed. This is body sculpting.

Procedure: Liposuction Surgery

Cosmetic Concern: 46-year-old woman with a stable weight, who desires sculpting of her inner and outer thighs and tops of the hips.

Diagnosis:
Massive localized adiposity of the waist, inner and outer thighs.

Treatment:
Tumescent liposuction of the inner and outer thighs as well as the flanks. Four liters of fat was removed.

Discussion: Liposuction is about sculpting. It is not just for little nothings with just a cup of unwanted fat. Shaping the body is beneficial whenever there is a localized build-up of excess fat that can be addressed. Unless the diet or the amount of exercise changes, the body will eventually regain all of this weight. The key is that it will be more evenly distributed. Provided the weight is stable the improvement will be relatively permanent.

Procedure: Lower Face and Neck Liposuction

Discussion: Facial liposuction can give definition to the lower face and neck. The procedure can be performed in the office very comfortably under local anesthesia. Have your procedure and return to work in three to four days.

Procedure: Lower Face & Neck Liposuction

Cosmetic Concern: 43-year-old woman concerned about facial sagging along the jaw line and a neck cord.

Diagnosis:
Her jowling makes her look older. The laxity in the neck created a small cord under the chin. The eyes look tired because of descent of the eyebrow soft tissue.

Treatment:
The best option for her is a lower face lift. However, down time was her primary consideration. Therefore, a lower face and neck liposuction through tiny incisions was chosen as the best compromise. To further refine the result, the midline neck muscles were trimmed through a small incision just under the chin and sewn together to prevent the neck cord from reforming. The procedure was performed in the office under local anesthesia. She was back to work in just 5 days.
